The Need

On one hand the modern man is at the heights of great advancement but on the other hand he is helplessly confronting problems like global warming, depleting and polluted natural resources, breakdown of family and relationships, consumer lifestyle and so on. The root cause for this is in the mentality that - "This world is meant for me alone. I can control and use it as I want." In this pursuit of material happiness, he is becoming more self centered and less harmonious with others and the world.

An alternate worldview as depicted in the Vedas is to live in harmony with the nature and with all the living entities by understanding the purpose of life and proceed towards the path of perfection and real happiness.

There is an imminent need of education rooted in timeless Vedic wisdom to bring about a change in the mentality of modern man. Thus, it is our humble attempt to plant the seeds of harmony and human values to equip students with the tools to understand the purpose of life and enable them to choose a balanced lifestyle.

ROOTED IN VEDIC KNOWLEDGE

Lack of principles and disparity in human society is due to godless civilization. There is God or the Almighty from whom everything emanates, by whom everything is maintained and in whom everything is merged to rest. Material science has tried to find the ultimate source of creation insufficiently.

On the other hand, the Vedic literatures are full of descriptions of the transcendental glories of Supreme Lord’s name, fame, forms, pastimes, and so on. These transcendental words directed towards bringing about a revolution in the impious lives of this world's misdirected civilization. Such transcendental literatures are heard, sung and accepted by purified men who are thoroughly honest.

This timeless wisdom of Bharata is expressed in the Vedas which touch upon all the fields of human knowledge. Originally preserved through oral tradition, the Vedas were first put into writing five thousand years ago by Srila Vyasadeva.

The verses in each of the Vedic texts contain esoteric wisdom of the universe on varied topics: from medicine, farming, description of time sequences of upper and lower planets, techniques of yoga and meditation, household hints and recipes for vegetarian dishes, detailed explanations of governmental organization, masterful guidelines on the construction and decoration of temples or residential buildings. The Vedas contain drama, history and philosophy, as well as lessons on etiquette, military protocol and music.
